In 2018, I decided that one of best things that I could do was to lift up the voices of other Democrats running for office. I wanted to give them a space to tell their stories directly to the voters.
As a result, I spent hours interviewing candidates, editing videos, and sharing those interviews. Those interviews included candidates for district attorney, school board, general assembly, judicial seats, and our Democratic slate of Court of Appeals candidates who came to Durham for an interview.
Recently, I've pulled back out my tripod, i-phone, and fake red carpet to uplift the stories of our candidates again, and over the past few weeks, I've conducted almost 30 interviews.
And here's what you should know.
Because we'll have a selection of candidates in place, it'll be even more important to discuss the policies behind our candidates. We'll need to remind people what's at stake from the local level to the national level...why we are the ones who really care about them and can get the job done.
And as someone who has worked in the party at the local, state, and national level, I understand how to connect our policies to every day people in a way that shows them that we care and that we're the ones with the policies that change lives for the better.
So, be prepared to see me take the red carpet across the state to support and uplift our candidates.
